Liberty’s Big Fun Announcement!
This past Sunday, we announced the resignation of our Youth Director, Tanya Karn (WHOM WE WILL MISS DEARLY!), but I am thrilled to announce some good news alongside it.
Our leaders and I have created a new position at Liberty called the “Family Ministries Director” that will oversee all our ministries from birth to young adults. Our vision was to have a seamless, integrated ministries so that no one gets lost or left behind, and all our staff and volunteers who serve in those ministries can be better supported.
The even better news is that we’ve hired our own Dawn Parr (currently our Children’s Ministry Director) to this position. Dawn has been at Liberty nearly two decades and has tirelessly served our kids and families. Her new challenge will be big, but we are confident that God is calling her to this position and believe that God has equipped her with the right head and heart—and experience—to keep Liberty moving forward.
For those already thinking ahead, this means we now have several positions open: Kids Ministry, Middle School Ministry, and High School Ministry. We have some flexibility on how we structure the positions, but we’ll be posting them online soon. If you know someone who might be a good fit, encourage them to apply!
I’m almost forgetting another huge thing: this weekend is Blessing of the Animals. I can’t wait to meet all our furry friends and let God’s blessings fly.
