Mid-week Lenten Worship

Ash Wednesday Service, March 6

In the 5th century, the church designated the Wednesday before the first Sunday of Lent “Ash Wednesday” – ashes being a biblical symbol of repentance before the Lord.  The primary purpose of Lent is as a time when we make reflect on our faith journeys and live more consciously in remembrance of Jesus’ great sacrifice on the cross. Ashes will be shared at this service, and Lenten coins will be given to carry with you throughout this holy season. Held in the Barn Sanctuary, 7:00 pm; Speaker: Pastor Kyle Doebler.

Weekly Wednesday Lenten Services

Please join us each Wednesday during Lent for a Soup Supper at 6:15 p.m. in the Barn Lower Level, followed by our informal midweek Lenten service in the Chapel at 7:00 p.m.,  with the Second Stringers leading us in singing old favorites, a pastor leading us in prayer and a member of Liberty sharing a little of their own faith journey.  These services are such a blessing as they inspire us in our faith and help us in our journey to the cross.

Our Lenten speakers are:

March 13 – Linda Burnworth

March 20 – Krystal Doebler

March 27 – Phil Haase

April 3 – Thad Turano

April 10 – JoAnn VanGorder
