Holiday Missions at Liberty

It’s hard to believe, but the holiday season is right around the corner. As we begin to prepare for the Thanksgiving and Christmas, there are many ways that Liberty reaches out to serves those in need in our community. For more information about any of these opportunities, please contact Pastor Kyle, Elders Doug Kaltenmark or Barb Lyon.

During October, you can sign up to provide a Thanksgiving Dinner for a local family in need. Stop by the sign-up table in the Barn Lower Level, and pick up a box, a greeting card, and a shopping list (about $20).  Liberty mission dollars will provide the turkeys. Be a conduit of God’s extraordinary grace by providing one of 250 boxed dinners this holiday season.

Please purchase the listed items and return the box, along with the signed card on Sunday, November 11, to the Sanctuary.

Thanksgiving Boxes

Beginning November 11, you can sign up for the Adopt-a-Family program at Liberty, where Liberty families can adopt another family in need to provide the gift of Christmas. Each family has a suggested shopping list, and you can pick up one item, or shop for the whole family. We also encourage families to work together to adopt a family. We invite you to participate in helping a family in need celebrate the birth of our savior and king!

Gifts are to be dropped off in the Barn Lower Level on Sunday, December 9.

Angel Tree

Come visit the Angel Tree at our Prepare the Way Day Event on Sunday, November 18. Our Angel Tree allows Liberty’s kids to provide gifts (new clothing and/or toys) for children in need, who otherwise might not have anything for Christmas. Each Angel ornament has specific gift wishes from children of all ages.

Angel Tree gifts are due on December 9. Questions? Contact Dawn Parr.
