Prayer Ministry

Liberty expresses prayer as part of caring for others in several ways. These include emailing a list of prayer needs, gifting prayer shawls, providing a labyrinth circle for prayer and meditation, hosting cccasional all-church events, like an Easter vigil.

    Prayer Requests

As prayer requests come into the Church Office, a list is compiled and emailed to church members. The frequency varies based on prayer needs of our congregation.

We invite you to subscribe to our emails by clicking here.

We also invite you to submit prayer requests to our Care Team via this prayer form.

    Prayer Shawls

Shawls are made by church members especially for those who need a special touch during a difficult time. Shawls are a tangible way to wrap individuals in prayer and care.

If you are interested in making shawls, contact the Care Ministry Team. If you know someone who could benefit from the gift of a shawl, contact  Parish Visitor Mike Kivett. Shawls can also be picked up in the Church Office.

    Prayer Labyrinth

A prayer labyrinth is a devotional tool. A labyrinth does not have any special power of its own; it is a way to foster prayer and meditation. It contains a single walking path that moves you slowly toward the center and toward God, and then back out into the world. Unlike a maze where you lose your way, the labyrinth can help you find your way. People who may have difficulty sitting still to pray often find that walking and praying is helpful.

Our prayer labyrinth was built in memory of two Liberty members and is located near the entrance to the Pathway to the Son memorial garden.

    Prayer Events

Occasionally we offer all-church events, such as past Easter Vigils, where members signed up to pray in the Chapel for certain time periods.
