Liberty has many ways to celebrate Advent 2020!

Christmas Eve Worship at Liberty

Updated Tuesday, December 22, at 6:00 p.m.
Please make plans to join your Liberty family on Christmas Eve as we celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus!

Christmas Eve Services:

Help us plan for Christmas Eve by signing up for ONE PARKING SPOT at one of the outdoor Christmas Eve Service times: 7:00 and 9:00 p.m. by clicking on the button at right.

NOTE: You only need to sign up for ONE parking spot in the drive-in services, regardless of how many people are in your vehicle! There are only so many parking spaces available for each service, so once one service is filled, we will encourage people to attend another service time.

Additionally, a recorded Christmas Eve worship service video will be available on this website (by 2:00 PM) for all those who cannot attend a drive-in service.

  • Everyone is encouraged to download the bulletin ahead of time from this website (available soon). The bulletin will contain the words to all the songs so that everyone can joyfully raise their voices and sing along!
  • You will stay in your car and the service will be broadcast live over an FM station. (We will let you know the frequency when you arrive.)
  • We will have Deacons to direct you as you enter and help you park in the appropriate places. Please look to them and only park where they indicate.
  • Please turn off your headlights (feel free to keep your cars running if you wish).
  • When it is time to leave, the Deacons will once again direct traffic. Please wait until you are directed to leave and follow the exit pattern they will indicate. (Remember to turn on your headlights!)

NOTE: The Barn Lower Level will be open if bathrooms are needed. Please use only if necessary. If you leave your car for any reason, please wear a facemask and practice safe physical distancing.

  • During the offering portion of the service, Deacons will start from the stage and walk through the parking lots to collect the offering and to gather the “Hearts for Jesus” that have been prepared by the children. (Click here for details.) If you would like to participate in the offering or the Hearts collection, please roll down your window and let the Deacons know.
  • We also ask everyone to bring a non-flame source of light (flashlight, battery powered candle, glowstick, or other device).
    • At the end of the service, we will share the light of Christ. The Deacons will come forward and Pastor Kemper and Pastor Kyle will “present” the Light of Christ to the Deacons by “lighting” their flashlights or other non-flame device, and offering this light forward. The Deacons will then light their flashlights and turn and proceed through the parking lot.
    • As the Deacons pass your vehicle, please turn on your hand-held lights. If you are comfortable, open your windows and hold your light out as we all sing together Silent Night.

Hearts for Jesus

Children can prepare for Christmas Eve Worship by decorating the heart image in the PDF (see button below), then offering it during worship to symbolize giving their heart to Jesus.

During the Drive-In Service, we will collect an offering (Deacons will walk through the parking lot with baskets for those who wish to give) and, at the same time, we will collect the “Hearts for Jesus” that the children have prepared.

For those worshipping at home with the recorded service, the children can hang their decorated heart ornament on their tree during the offering.

Be inspired this Advent with daily devotions feature a compilation of past years’ highlights written by Liberty members, pastors, and staff.

Take some time out of your busy week and immerse yourselves in God’s word as presented in these Hymns. The Study features:

“O Come, O Come Emmanuel”

“Go, Tell It On The Mountain”

“Hark! The Herald Angels Sing”

“O Holy Night”

Advent Spiral Walk

Liberty will celebrate Advent this year with a Spiral Walk, symbolizing our faith journey in finding light in the darkness. We invite you to visit the grassy area near the main entrance of the Sanctuary, any day/evening during Advent. Each evening a candle will be lit to represent another day of Advent until all are lighting the way to the creche—to Jesus, our Light in the Darkness and the True Light that gives light to everyone. Join us and celebrate Advent at Liberty!

Gather your family and use materials from your kitchen to create an Advent Spiral!

Place the Advent Spiral somewhere in your home where it will be prominently displayed. Each night, light a candle and use Liberty’s Advent Devotional or the children’s Advent calendar for daily Scripture reading. On Christmas Day, all candles will be lighted in celebration of the birth of our Savior!

The Children’s Pageant will be featured on Liberty’s website in the recorded worship video on December 24—and will be available as a stand-alone video.

Thank you for helping a family in need celebrate the birth of our Savior and King!

Thank you to all those who gave the gift of Christ this Advent Season to a local child in need through the Salvation Army’s Angel Tree program.

Created in memory of aspiring NICU nurse and Liberty Member Megan Casey, Megan’s Mission provides items for local mothers and babies in local NICUs. Throughout Advent, you can drop off NEW  baby blankets, sleep sacks, and unisex clothing (sizes: preemie & newborn) in the marked bin outside the Barn Lower Level doors. For more information, visit
