Youth News – 11.12.19

THIS COMING WEEK

MIDDLE SCHOOL BIBLE STUDY 

  • Tonight, from 7-8:30 p.m., youth in grades 6-8 are invited to join us for Bible Study in the Youth Room.
  • Tonight, we will be continuing our study on the book of John, called “Doodling Disciples”. We will be doodling and reading through John 13.
  • Youth will have the chance to make deep friendships with fellow youth group members, learn more about the Bible and their faith, and have some fun playing games with friends.

YOUTH SUNDAY SCHOOL

  • Sunday School will be meeting in the Youth Room between services, at 10:00 a.m.
  • All youth in grades 6-12 are invited to join us. High school youth will be given the opportunity to help lead some of the middle schoolers in their lessons.

HIGH SCHOOL YOUTH GROUP   

  • This coming Sunday, November 17, we will be taking a deeper look into some of our favorite worship songs with “Hidden in the Hymns”. We will be listening to a popular worship song and looking at the scripture behind the song to find a deeper appreciation and understanding of the song.
  • All youth grades 9-12 are invited to join us on Sunday evenings from 7:00-9:00 p.m. in the Youth Room for our weekly Youth Group meetings.
  • Youth will have the chance to make deep friendships with fellow youth group members, learn more about the Bible and their faith, and have some fun playing games with friends.

DIGGING DEEPER 

  • Digging Deeper will be meeting on Mondays from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Youth Room.
  • Digging Deeper is for High School students wanting to dig a little deeper into their faith and the Bible with their peers.
  • We will be finishing our study on the book of James this next week. Bring your Bible and be prepared to discuss.

CONFIRMATION HAPPENINGS

CONFIRMATION RETREAT- Saturday, November 16, 12:00 p.m.- Sunday November 17, 12:00 p.m.

  • All Confirmation students are encouraged to attend the Confirmation Retreat at Geneva Hills, in Lancaster Ohio, on November 16-17.
  • The retreat will be an opportunity for us to get away together, have some fun, learn more about God, and grow closer together as a group.
  • The topic of the weekend will be “The Holy Sacraments.”
  • We will be staying in a cabin in the woods, going on hikes, having campfires, and doing lots of other fun stuff.
  • The retreat will run from 12:00 p.m. on Saturday through 12:00 p.m. on Sunday.
  • The cost of the retreat is $50 which covers transportation, food, and lodging.
